THE MUSIC DOCTORS / PRIVACY
Privacy,
in plain language.
You choose what you share with us. Here is how your details are used for Backstage, contact and The Groove Clinic.
Who uses your data?
The Music Doctors, the music project of Music Doctor René, is your contact for Backstage and the forms. Have a question or request? Email us about privacy. The full legal identity and other required business and contact details will be added.
What do we need, and why?
Account details are needed for membership. Photos, birthdays, updates and invitations to join the show are optional and use your consent. We use contact details from a request to handle that request; sending one does not automatically subscribe you to updates.
| Your account | First name, email address, pass number, password and account preferences are needed to provide your membership and access. Our account service securely processes your password. Legal basis for the account: performance of the membership agreement. |
|---|---|
| Your pass | Your own photo or avatar is optional. A photo is saved when you save your account while logged in. It is for your pass and is protected from other members. |
| Your birthday | Your date of birth is optional, for a birthday surprise. |
| Updates | Newsletters and release alerts each have a separate, optional choice. We use your name and email address for these updates. |
| The Groove Clinic | Only if you opt in, we contact you by email about joining the show by phone. Participation, your phone number and any broadcast or recording are agreed with you separately in advance. |
| Call me back | Your name, phone number and the explanation you enter are emailed to The Music Doctors to handle your callback request. Include only what is needed for your enquiry. |
| Request a song | Your first name, artist and requested song are emailed to The Music Doctors. A story or dedication and phone number are optional. A story or dedication is intended for sharing with listeners; your phone number is not published. You do not need to be a member. |
For logged-in members, account details may prefill forms. Check these details before sending. Security data, such as IP addresses and login times, may be needed to protect accounts and prevent abuse. The precise necessity, legal bases and retention periods are still being documented.
Leaving? You stay in control.
- Fewer emails: turn off the relevant preference in My account and save your changes, or email us. Unsubscribing from updates does not delete your account.
- No more radio invitations: turn off the radio preference in My account and save your changes.
- Photo or birthday: remove these in My account and save your changes, or ask us for help. You can remain a member.
- Leave completely: email us to request deletion of your account and related data. We handle this request personally.
You may withdraw consent at any time; earlier lawful use remains lawful.
Open My accountKeeping and sharing data
Starting point: account data while you are a member; additional data while needed for your choice or request. Afterwards we delete or anonymise it, unless a legal duty or substantiated dispute requires retention. Specific periods for requests, emails, logs, consent records and backups still need to be determined and added here.
Supabase provides accounts, preferences, membership passes and protected pass photos. Resend handles email delivery. The test site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites; the package for our own domain is intended for Merlin. Music files and wallpapers are served by the website after access checks and are not stored in Supabase Storage.
The complete provider list, processing arrangements, storage countries and any transfers outside the European Economic Area with corresponding safeguards are still being checked and completed.
Access, correct or delete
You may request access, correction or deletion and, where applicable, object, restrict processing or transfer your data. Email us; we check identity proportionately. We normally respond within one month, including notice of any lawful extension.
If we cannot resolve your concern, you may complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
